  • APC-4, which is the first hole drilled to test a grassroot generated vein target located shallower and above the Main Breccia discovery at Apollo cut a near surface zone of sheeted veins and returned:
    • 17.5 metres @ 12.79 g/t gold and 21 g/t silver (65 metres vertical)
  • APC-7 and predecessor scout hole OLCS-3 were drilled to test a grassroot generated breccia target located 250 metres to the north of the Main Breccia discovery at Apollo and intersected multiple zones of mineralization between 45 metres and 320 metres below surface including:
    • 41.8 metres @ 1.07 g/t gold equivalent; and
    • 38.4 metres @ 1.51 g/t gold equivalent
  • Four rigs continue to actively drill at the Guayabales project with assay results anticipated in the near term for two holes as follows:
    • APC-6 and APC-8 tested the Main Breccia discovery at Apollo with both holes intersected more than 265 metres of potentially favourable mineralization

TORONTO, Sept. 07, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Collective Mining Ltd. (TSXV: CNL) (OTCQX: CNLMF) (“Collective” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce assay results from reconnaissance holes completed designed to test new ideas at the Apollo target (“Apollo”) at the Company’s Guayabales project located in Caldas, Colombia. Targets within Apollo consists of hydrothermal breccia, porphyry and vein systems including the recently discovered copper-gold-silver Main Breccia highlighted by drill hole APC-2, which intersected 207.15 metres @ 2.68 g/t AuEq (see press release dated August 10, 2022). Apollo is one of eight porphyry-related target zones situated within a three-by-four-kilometre cluster area generated by the Company through grassroots exploration at the Guayabales project. As part of its fully funded 20,000+ metre drill program for 2022, there are currently three diamond drill rigs operating at the Apollo target with an additional rig drilling from underground at the Olympus target.

The Company recently completed five scout and reconnaissance diamond drill holes to test various conceptual targets locating within the Apollo area but outside of the Main Breccia discovery. APC-4 was designed to test a zone of northwest trending high grade, carbonate base metal veins (“CBM”), located shallower and above the Main Breccia system. APC-7 and the earlier drilled scout hole, OLCS-3, drilled beneath surface soil anomalies and discovered new, mineralized breccia bodies located approximately 250 metres north of the Main Breccia system.

APC-4, which was drilled to the southeast from Pad 2, intersected a high-grade zone of sheeted CBM veins and returned:

  • 17.5 metres @ 12.79 g/t Au and 21 g/t Ag from 132.3 metres (65 metres vertical) including 0.65 metres @ 331.47 g/t Au and 53 g/t Ag

Mineralization relates to multiple sheeted CBM veins hosting sphalerite and pyrite sulphides.

APC-7 and OLCS-3 were drilled to the southwest from Pad 1 and intersected multiple mineralized breccia bodies at various depths and returned the following intercepts:

  • APC-7: 25.55 metres @ 0.69 g/t AuEq from 85.65 metres (98 metres vertical);
  • APC-7: 38.40 metres @ 1.51 g/t AuEq from 199.85 metres (195 metres vertical);
  • APC-7: 20.45 metres @ 0.89 g/t AuEq from 325.0 metres (320 metres vertical); and
  • OLCS-3: 41.8 metres @ 1.07 g/t AuEq from 37.0 metres (45 metres vertical)

In addition to the new CBM vein discoveries a further two reconnaissance holes were drilled south from Pad 1 and southeast from Pad 2 to respectively test for breccia mineralisation and a mineralised porphyry body. Diamond Hole APC-9 had to be discontinued due to drilling problems and stopped short of the target zone. Diamond Hole APC-10 intersected altered quartz diorites with a porphyry vein stockwork and hosting anomalous copper, molybdenum, and gold values. The hole is interpreted to be peripheral to the main porphyry target as defined by copper soil anomalism and surface mapping. Further drilling is warranted in the future to better test both conceptual targets. Drill holes APC-12, APC-13 and APC-14 are underway with all three holes targeting the Main Breccia discovery at Apollo. Assay results for holes APC-6 and APC-8 are expected in the near term, with both holes intercepting more than 265 metres of potentially favourable mineralization.

The Apollo target area, as defined to date by surface mapping, rock sampling and copper and molybdenum soil geochemistry, covers an 800 metre X 700 metre area. The Apollo target area hosts the Company’s new grassroots Main Breccia discovery plus additional yet untested breccia, porphyry and vein targets. The Apollo target area also remains open for further expansion.

TORONTO, Aug. 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Collective Mining Ltd. (TSXV: CNL) (OTCQX: CNLMF) (“Collective” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce assay results from two additional holes completed at the Apollo target (“Apollo”) at the Company’s Guayabales project located in Caldas, Colombia. Apollo is a newly discovered high-grade copper-gold-silver porphyry-related breccia and is one of eight porphyry-related targets situated within a three-by-four-kilometre cluster area generated by the Company through grassroots exploration at the project. As part of its fully funded 20,000+ metre drill program for 2022, there are currently three diamond drill rigs operating at the Apollo target with an additional rig being mobilized to site to begin the Phase II program at the Olympus target in August 2022.

“With assay results in hand for three drill holes and visual observations from additional holes either recently completed or underway, it is becoming abundantly clear that we are dealing with a large mineralized system. Importantly, Apollo appears to be blessed with multiple pulses of fluids depositing metal into the system resulting in high-grade bulk drilling intervals. Three diamond drill holes with accompanying assay results confirm that the Apollo target has the potential to evolve into a significant high-grade, bulk tonnage mineralized system. New assay results for holes APC-2 and APC-1W are reported herein as follows:

  • APC-2:
        207.15 metres @ 2.68 g/t AuEq from 154.5 metres down hole (100m vertical) including
        17.40 metres @ 7.33 g/t AuEq from 192.5 metres down hole and
        20.95 metres @ 5.21 g/t AuEq from 270.6 metres down hole.

APC-2 is the first hole drilled from a newly constructed pad located approximately 200 metres to the southeast of the initial pad from which drill holes APC-1 and APC-1W were drilled. APC-2 was drilled orthogonal to APC-1 and APC-1W and intersected bulk mineralization hosted within porphyry related breccia with overprinting carbonate base metal veins (“CBM”).

  • APC-1W:
        89.40 metres @ 2.46 g/t AuEq from 293 metres down hole (175m vertical) including
        19.35 metres @ 3.87 g/t AuEq from 93.8 metres down hole and
        15.30 metres @ 2.31 g/t AuEq from 164.36 metres down hole.

APC-1W was drilled as a wedge hole from discovery hole APC-1 to the east and at a steeper inclination. The hole was stopped short of the target depth in a post-mineral dyke due to rig capacity issues. The hole was expected to re-enter the main mineralized breccia after clearing the dyke and extend the zone further to the south. Future drilling will test the area south of APC-1W to determine if mineralization extends beyond the post-mineral dyke in this location.

  • Mineralization is remarkably continuous along the axis of both intercepts and is hosted within an angular breccia with a sulphide matrix consisting of chalcopyrite (Cu), pyrite and pyrrhotite. Additionally, overprinting carbonate base metal porphyry veins flood the breccia matrix in various locations along the mineralized interval yielding the higher-grade intercepts in both holes. The breccia clasts are all quartz diorite and diorite in composition and this hydrothermal system is clearly linked to a porphyry system.
  • APC-2 was drilled perpendicular to APC-1W and has extended the mineralized breccia at least 200 metres to the northeast and 100 metres to the southwest. Two further holes, APC-3 and APC-5 have been completed with more than 200 metres of favorable mineralization intersected in both holes. Assay results for APC-3 and APC-5 are anticipated the near term.
  • Assay results and visual observation from all holes completed to date confirm that the main mineralized breccia has a minimum strike length of 300 metres in a northeast-southwest direction, is up to 100 metres thick and extends to at least 400 metres vertically below surface. The target remains open in all directions for expansion.
  • The Apollo target area, as defined to date by surface mapping, rock sampling and copper and molybdenum soil geochemistry, covers an 800 metre X 700 metre area. The Apollo target area hosts the Company’s new grassroots main breccia discovery plus additional yet untested breccia, porphyry and vein targets. The Apollo target area also remains open for further expansion.

(TSXV: CNL) (OTCQX: CNLMF) (“Collective” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce visual observations from three additional holes completed at the Apollo target (“Apollo”) at the Company’s Guayabales project located in Caldas, Colombia. Apollo is a newly discovered high-grade copper-gold-silver porphyry-related breccia where the Company recently announced the assay results for the discovery hole APC-1, which intersected 87.8 metres @ 2.49 g/t AuEq (see press release dated June 22, 2022). Apollo is one of eight porphyry-related targets situated within a three-by-four-kilometre cluster area generated by the Company through grassroots exploration at the Guayabales project. As part of its fully funded 20,000+ metre drill program for 2022, there are currently three diamond drill rigs operating at the Apollo target with an additional rig being mobilized to site to begin the Phase II program at the Olympus target in August 2022.

Highlights (See Figures 1 – 4)

  • Drill holes APC-3 and APC-5 were drilled in opposite directions from two separate drill pads to the northeast and southwest respectively in order to test continuity of the mineralized breccia previously intersected in holes APC-1, APC-1W and APC-2 (see press releases dated April 27, 2022, June 22 and July 6, 2022). Both holes intersected at least 200 metres of mineralized breccia, from 276 metres downhole (200 metres vertical) in APC-3 and from 252.6 metres downhole (135 metres vertical) in APC-5. Core from these holes have been sent to the lab as a batch and assay results are expected in the near future.
  • Drill hole APC-4 targeted a newly generated breccia target located closely to the east of the main breccia at Apollo where a small historical artisanal mine is located. After passing through weathered and unmineralized material, the hole intersected 10 to15 metres of favorable breccia with overprinting CBM veins. Core logging from this hole is being finalized and half core will be sent to the assay lab shortly for analysis.
  • Visual observations and results to date from the first five holes drilled into the Apollo target confirm that the main mineralized breccia has a minimum strike length of 300 metres in a NE-SW direction and extends to at least 400 metres vertically below surface. The target remains open in all directions.
  • Mineralization is remarkably continuous along the axis of both intercepts and is hosted within a breccia sulphide matrix consisting of chalcopyrite (Cu), pyrite and pyrrhotite. The breccia clasts are all quartz diorite in composition and this hydrothermal system is clearly linked to a porphyry system. Additionally, overprinting carbonate base metal (“CBM”) veins flood the breccia matrix in various locations along the mineralized intervals. In drill hole APC-3, zones of sheeted CBM veins were outlined over intervals of 10 to 25 metres with visible sphalerite (Zn) and Galena (Pb) observed.
  • The Apollo target, as defined to date by surface mapping, rock sampling and copper and molybdenum soil geochemistry, covers an 800 metre X 700 metre area and further drilling is planned from various locations to continue to expand the mineralized zone.
  • Apollo is road accessible all year-round and is situated within an elevation range of 1,800 to 2,000 metres above sea level. Additionally, an electrical substation is located less than one kilometre from the target area.

(TSXV: CNL) (OTCQX: CNLMF) (“Collective” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the discovery of a potentially significant broad mineralized zone as well as additional high-grade gold and silver assay results from channel samples taken at the Olympus target (“Olympus”) at the Company’s 100% owned Guayabales project in Caldas, Colombia. A noteworthy discovery drill hole from the northern area of Olympus was announced by the Company in March 2022, with OLC-3 yielding 302 metres @ 1.11 g/t AuEq from near surface. Olympus is one of the eight porphyry-related targets situated within a three-by-four-kilometre cluster area generated by the Company through grassroots exploration at the Guayabales project. As part of its fully funded 20,000+ metre drill program for 2022, there are currently three diamond drill rigs operating at the Apollo target, which is located approximately 800 metres south-southeast of Olympus. Furthermore, additional rigs have been secured to begin the Phase II program at Olympus with the first hole anticipated to commence drilling from underground in August 2022.

Highlights (See Tables 1-2 and Figures 1-3)

  • Continuous channel sampling, where possible, were taken by the Company along a historical crosscut covering a 182.45 metre horizontal width and hosting multiple mineralized veins, veinlets and structures within intensely altered porphyry and country rocks. This sampling has outlined a broad mineralized zone (“BMZ”) with assay results as follows:
    • 182.45 metres @ 1.15 g/t gold equivalent (true horizontal width)

Sampling from the eastern half of the crosscut was in oxidized material, which the Company believes may be underrepresenting the actual grade because previously announced chip channel sample assay results within vein material at slightly lower elevations directly below this area of the crosscut yielded materially higher grades.   • The high-grade CBM veins outlined above are located directly west of the BMZ and collectively both areas outline a target zone measuring greater than 300 metres of width which remains open in all directions. Historical workings along veins to the northwest and southeast of the crosscut indicate a potential strike length to the systems of at least 500 metres which is open for expansion.
  • Drilling, underground sampling and surface mapping to date have expanded Olympus to a target area measuring more than 1,400 metres by 900 metres, which hosts over 50 artisanal mines with over 25 veins mapped from available exposures. The results outlined in this press release cover only the southwest portion of this target area. Previous drilling in the northern portion of the target area returned broad intercepts of up to 301.9 metres @ 1.11 g/t gold equivalent (see press release dated March 15, 2022). The Company believes that the probability is high that additional veins and BMZ zones will be discovered as exploration ramps up. To date only small portions of the target area have been drill tested or sampled and the Olympus target remains open to the east, west, northwest, south and at depth.
  • A phase II underground drill program will commence in August 2022 and is expected to ramp up in scale for the balance of the year as new drill chambers are constructed and additional rigs are added.

TORONTO, July 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Collective Mining Ltd. (TSXV: CNL) (OTCQX: CNLMF) (“Collective” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce visual observations from the third completed drill hole at the Apollo target (“Apollo”). Apollo is a newly discovered high-grade copper-gold-silver porphyry-related breccia and the Company recently announced the assay results for the discovery hole (APC-1), which intersected 87.8 metres @ 2.49 g/t AuEq. Apollo is one of eight porphyry-related targets situated within a three-by-four-kilometre cluster area generated by the Company through grassroots exploration at the Guayabales project, located in Caldas, Colombia. As part of its fully funded 20,000-metre drill program for 2022, there are currently three diamond drill rigs operating at Guayabales, with two turning at Apollo and one turning at the Trap target.

Highlights (See Figures 1 – 4)

  • APC-2, which was drilled to the southwest from a drill pad located 200 metres southeast of the collars for APC-1 and APC-1W, intercepted over 200 metres of mineralized breccia from 154.7 metres downhole (100 metres vertical). Core from this hole and APC-1W have been sent to the lab as a batch and assay results are expected shortly.
  • Mineralization is remarkably continuous along the axis of the intercept of interest in APC-2 and is hosted within a breccia sulphide matrix consisting of chalcopyrite (Cu), pyrite and pyrrhotite. Additionally, overprinting carbonate base metal (“CBM”) veins flood the breccia matrix in various locations along the mineralized interval in APC-2 with visible sphalerite (Zn) and Galena (Pb) observed. The breccia clasts are all quartz diorite in composition and this hydrothermal system is clearly linked to a porphyry system. The mineralization in APC-2 is remarkably consistent with the mineralization observed in APC-1 and APC-1W (refer to press releases dated April 27, 2022 and June 22, 2022 for further details).
  • APC-2 extends this mineralized system at least 200 metres to the northeast and 100 metres to the southwest and is located centrally within the 800 metre X 700 metre Apollo target area. The Company is currently drilling two additional holes, APC-3 and APC-4, which aims to expand the mineralized system and better understand the morphology of this new discovery.
  • Apollo remains open to the east, west, south and at depth for further expansion. Due to the size of the target area and success in early drilling, a fourth drill pad is now under construction.
  • The Apollo target area consists of newly generated porphyry and porphyry related breccia and vein targets with coincidental high-grade copper and molybdenum soil anomalies in places measuring greater than 500 parts per million (“ppm”) in copper and 30 ppm in molybdenum. Additionally, surface sampling at Apollo has uncovered a series of high-grade gold outcrops with numerous rock samples assaying greater than 3 g/t gold.
  • Apollo is road accessible all year-round and is situated within an elevation range of 1,800 to 2,000 metres above sea level. Additionally, an electrical substation is located less than one kilometre from the target area.

Re-Approval of Stock Option Plan

The Company also announces that at the annual special meeting of shareholders of the Company held on June 29, 2022, the Company’s 10% “rolling” stock option plan (“Plan”) was re-approved by shareholders in accordance with the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange (“TSXV”). The newly approved Plan also reflected certain house-keeping amendments to ensure compliance with the new Policy 4.4 of the Exchange which came into effect on November 24, 2021.

Rock and core samples have been prepared and analyzed at SGS laboratory facilities in Medellin, Colombia and Lima, Peru. Blanks, duplicates, and certified reference standards are inserted into the sample stream to monitor laboratory performance. Crush rejects and pulps are kept and stored in a secured storage facility for future assay verification. No capping has been applied to sample composites.
