If you want to bring along a guest/spouse/partner, but they do not want to attend the Symposium, we welcome them to our social events during the Symposium at a discounted price of US$275. This includes entrance to the Exhibit Hall, four continental breakfasts (Tuesday–Friday), an evening reception and all coffee/snack breaks. The hotel also has a tour desk and excellent concierge service that can assist with any tours or excursions or your guest can simply enjoy the spa that is on-site.

Monday, July 24, 2017 ~ A Special Invitation to our Sea to Sky Gondola Field Trip and Lunch Presentation with Riverside Resources
We’ve designed an exclusive opportunity for a small group of attendees to tour Grouse Mountain on Monday, July 24th, right before our event kicks off. Attendees will depart the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver by motor coach at 10am, which will take you through Stanley Park and across the Lion’s Gate Bridge for our 45-minute drive to the Sea to Sky Gondola’s Summit Lodge
nestled high above Howe Sound near Squamish. You will arrive at Sea to Sky where you will travel ten minutes up the mountain by gondola where you can enjoy coffee or tea before lunch. Lunch will be in the Summit Lodge in the Diamond Head room. The Westcoast design of the lodge offers massive windows and huge Douglas Fir beams making for a cozy place to be to enjoy nature, the surrounding mountains panoramic views while overlooking Howe Sound.
Lunch and Panel Discussion sponsored by Riverside Resources Inc. featuring John-Mark Staude, President and Adrian Day, CEO, Adrian Day Asset Management and new speakers to be announced. Nick Hodge will be the moderator. John-Mark will also give an update on Riverside’s exciting developments coming down the pipeline for the remainder of 2017. After lunch you will have time to enjoy activities on your own such as the suspension bridge, viewing platforms or hiking. Provided transportation will depart and return to the Fairmont Vancouver hotel departing at 10:00 a.m. and approximate return back to the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel at 3:30 pm. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has made special group rates available to Symposium attendees. The basic room rate is C$269 per night, plus all applicable taxes. Currently, room rates are subject to the following taxes: Municipal Hotel Tax 11%; Goods and Service Tax (GST) 5%; Destination Marketing Fee 1.5% (both the Room Tax and DMF are subject to GST). Rates and percentages are subject to change without notice.

For the 3rd or 4th person in the room there is a CAD $30/person night charge and CAD $50 for Fairmont Gold rooms. No charge for children up to age 18. Maximum occupancy is 4.
Guests in our group are eligible for a 25% discount off of food in hotel restaurants. Simply show your conference badge to your server for the discount. Discount is on food only and is not eligible on in-room dining.

Reservation requests must be made by Tuesday, June 27, 2017 to guarantee rates, based on availability in the group block. Individuals are required to guarantee their reservations with a major credit card and will be charged a one-night deposit seven days prior to arrival.
Cancellation of individual reservations made up to seven days prior to arrival will be accepted, and the deposit will be refunded for those rooms for the full night’s stay. Reservations and deposits received after Tuesday, June 27, 2017, or exceeding the contracted room block, will be confirmed on a space- and rate-available basis only. Rates are good three days pre and three days post Symposium, based on hotel availability.
Taxes and Fees: State/Provincial Hotel Room Tax is 10%; Federal Goods and Service Tax is 5% and Vancouver Destination Marketing Fee is 1.5%.

Symposium attire is business casual. The hotel and conference rooms are air-conditioned and kept cool, so please bring a light sweater or jacket with you.
